There is once again a certain cachet attached to black and white photography. Skin blemishes don't tend to be as apparent in black and white photographs as they do in color. Black and white photographs tend to be less 'busy' and as a result can be easier on the eye. Many amateur photographers have found that they have been accepted as 'serious' photographers since taking up black and white photography. Perhaps this is because in the modern era black and white photography is somehow seen as more 'artsy' than its color counterpart. Of course, an ideal compromise might be to take two cameras and photograph the wedding in both color and black and white. Of course, experimentation with using color and black and white photography should not be restricted purely to weddings.

One of the best things about digital photos is that you can fix them. You can also do photo enhancement on film pictures, but they often do not come out looking like they should. For the most part, if there is something wrong with your digital photos, there are a lot of things you can do to make them look better. You don't have to be an expert to do this, and it doesn't even have to take a lot of time.

Photo enhancement is an art in itself and should be mastered by all photographers desperate to make a name for themselves

There are many ways to go about photo enhancement. One of the best ways is to have a photo editor on your computer. You open up your photos in this editor, and there are many different things you can do. Of course, how much photo enhancement you can do will depend on what program you have, but most of them can do the basic things. You can crop photos to take out excess background, and you can often fix anything that may have occurred. You may also be able to lighten or darkened photos if the lighting has not been just right.

A good photo editing software should provide all the tools that is necessary for photo enhancement

There are more complicated photo enhancement things you can do as well. If you are skilled with a computer, you can cut people out of one photo and insert them into another. You may also be able to make yourself look thinner or larger if you wish. This type of photo enhancement is often done for fun, and I know I have had a lot of fun doing this myself. You may also be able to do more serious things like fix scratches an old film photos, or perhaps do a color fix if someone's hair is looking green, or perhaps the photos were taken under fluorescent light and nothing looks right.

There are a lot of tutorials that are available on the web on the various techniques of photo enhancement that will surely make your photos look as the professional ones

If you are absolutely hopeless when it comes to using a computer, you can have someone else to your photo enhancement for you. You will be charged for this, but if you can do it yourself you will find it will be well worth the price. You will be surprised what photo enhancement can do to a poor photograph. You may take in one of the worst photographs you have ever seen, and come out with something you will cherish. I know that I had a few bad photos of a loved one who died, and after photo enhancement, the pictures were something worth saving. You cannot put a price on these type of memories, and every nickel I spent on photo enhancement was well worth the price.

Photo Enhancement It used to be that if you needed something done to your photos, you had to take them in to a professional to get them fixed. Today, you can do your own photo enhancement at home on your home computer. There are many different photo-editing programs out there, and most of them can help you fix defects in photos and even restore older photographs. There are no magic fixes, of course, but you can get rid of some problems to make your photos better than ever.

There are a lot of tutorials that are available on the web on the various techniques of photo enhancement that will surely make your photos look as the professional ones

One of the best things about photo enhancement is the ability to get rid of red eye in photos. It is not perfect, but my software does a pretty good job of it. My camera has a red eye reduction setting, but using it tends to delay the photo so much that the shots I want are long gone after the shutter finally snaps. Instead of using that feature, I want and use photo enhancement to get rid of the red eye. For the most part, the fix looks pretty natural, though it doesn’t work on every photo. The undo button is great if something doesn’t work.

Photo enhancement has gain prominence recently especially with the advent of the digital cameras and camera phones

You can also use photo enhancement to fix older photos that may have faded or even ripped. You can scan them into your computer and then go to work on them. Some photo enhancement features can clean up the scratches and make the picture look newer. It can help you cover up small rips, though big chunks missing may have to remain missing. You can so all sorts of things, but you may have to experiment before you get the hang of it. This is great if you want to print out pictures for scrapbook projects because you can make the pictures any size or shape you want. You just print them out and trim off the excess.

Other photo enhancement possibilities are great for the shot that is almost perfect. You can crop out unwanted items, or even erase them. You can zoom in on a subject if you don’t have zoom on your camera. Photo enhancement has come a long way, and the newer your software the more you will find you can do. You can take a lot of OK pictures and turn them into something you might want to save forever. You may want to dig out older photos from years gone by to see what you can do with them.
